RCCS Kingship Navigator Rhonda Marsh
September is National Kinship Care Month and Richland County Children Services (RCCS) is recognizing the great work of our kinship care navigators, Rhonda Marsh and Arlillian Nixon. Rhonda and Arlillian work with families to locate and obtain community services for which they are eligible. The resources may include Medicaid coverage, food stamps, childcare subsidies, and utilities assistance.
“The story that touches my heart is for a mother that has been sent to prison, but her desire was for her children to be with her grandparents. And with the help of our kinship legal services that was able to be done. Those children are safe with their great grandparents and the mother can be at peace with know-ing her children are safe.” - Rhonda Marsh
