More than 2,000 carved pumpkins were on display on the 47-acre estate of Kingwood Center Gardens over the weekend.

The 8th Annual Great Pumpkin Glow featured glowing balloons, friendly scarecrows, festive gourds, towering corn stalks, metal garden art and beautiful chrysanthemums.

This year’s event also offered hay rides, food trucks, live music and the Lil Carvers Carnival sponsored by Citizens for Children Services.

Kingwood Center Gardens hosted three days of Community Pumpkin Carving in preparation for the event.

RCCS employees Family Support Specialist Vickie Graves and Kinship Navigator Brianne Kindinger carved two pumpkins on behalf of the agency for the event.

There will be no Great Pumpkin Glow in 2019 due to a construction project at Kingwood Center Gardens. Organizers said the event will return in 2020.
