Meet RCCS Kids

Meet James

James is an active 15-year-old young man who is also very creative. He is very communicative and has a sly wit and humor. Like most kids his age, James loves video games and likes to build things with Legos. He LOVES being outdoors--fishing, camping, riding bikes.  James likes to read, especially about dinosaurs and reptiles, a subject he has a lot of knowledge about. James’ favorite foods include spaghetti, burgers, pizza, and BBQ meatloaf. Barbecue sauce is a condiment he would put on most anything.  James has a strong work ethic especially when incentivized by earning money. He is learning to save money, but when he has extra to spend, he enjoys visiting local thrift stores, going out to eat, and to the movies.

Meet Daykota "Cody"

Daykota, who prefers to be called "Cody," is a pleasant, caring, and respectful 15-year-old young lady. She is not shy but may be initially quiet and reserved upon meeting new people; and she likes to have quiet/alone time. Cody is "laid back" and is most comfortable in casual clothing such as sweatpants, jeans, and t-shirts.  Cody's favorite hobby is art, as it provides an opportunity to be self-expressive. Some other favorite past-times are playing video and board games, watching TV and YouTube videos, and listening to music. She enjoys all kinds of music but mostly likes music you can "chill" to. Cody's favorite types of TV shows and movies are crime and mystery. Cody is a true animal lover and enjoys all kind of pets but favors bearded dragons and other reptiles. Cody is learning to cook. One of her favorite foods is stir fry.

Cody wants to be adopted and is hopeful to find a family who will accept her as she is. To get to know Cody better, contact Jennifer Hissom at Richland County Children Services, 419-774-4131.
