Web site links portal to local, state and national child welfare resources
January 19, 2012
A visit to the Richland County Children Services links page offers Internet portals to a wealth of local, state and national child welfare resources.
The newest addition to the page is the Child Welfare Information Gateway, which connects child welfare and related professionals to comprehensive information and resources to help protect children and strengthen families. The site features the latest on topics from prevention to permanency, including child abuse and neglect, foster care, and adoption.
Locally, the page provides links to a multiple of city, county and state offices, including the Richland County Commissioners Office, Sheriff's Office, Auditor's Office, Treasurer's Office, the City of Mansfield, Mansfield Police Department, and a searchable Richland County Sheriff's Department Sex Offender Database.
It also has links to the Mansfield/Richland County Public Library, the First Call Information Line of Richland County, the Mansfield/Ontario/Richland County Health Department, the Richland County Child Support Enforcement Agency and The Center for Individual and Family Services.
The Children Services links page can easily connect you with KinshipOhio, Ohio Department of Job & Family Services, Adopt Ohio, the Public Children Services Association of Ohio, and information on the Ohio Safe Havens Law.
It also features links to the Child Welfare League of America, the Council on Accreditation and many other useful sites.
If you know of a link you think should be added to our agency links page, please e-mail it to Carl Hunnell, the agency's communications supervisor, at hunnec@odjfs.state.oh.us.
