One hundred and thirty seven expectant moms were celebrated during a special community drive-thru baby shower at Crossroads Church, 1188 Park Ave. West.

A steady stream of vehicles lined Park Avenue West for the drive-thru baby shower held on Friday, October 23rd. The expectant mothers were encouraged to register for a chance to win door prizes. The door prizes included cribs and mattress, a pack and play, baby monitoring system, highchair, exer-saucer, strollers, baby swing and car seats.

Richland County Children Services (RCCS) gave away Self-Care bags to 137 expectant mothers. The bags contained a variety of relaxing essentials, including body butters, bath salts, scrubs and more. Bags were also delivered to three high school students and few more who were at work.

The mothers also received donations that consisted of diapers, baby wipes, toys, books and more.

All donations were provided by more than a dozen community partners.
