Registration deadline for FREE CommUnity Day Camp is July 15

MANSFIELD -- The registration deadline for the FREE CommUnity Day Camp at three sites in Mansfield is July 15.

The camps are sponsored by United Way of Richland County, Community Action for Capable Youth, the City of Mansfield, the Mansfield Art Center and the Children's Cupboard Southside Outreach.

The camps are open to children kindergarten through fifth grade, ages 5 to 12. There will be fun activities each day, including art, physical activity, demonstrations and interaction with nature.

Lunch will be provided each day, along with a camp t-shirt.

Camp sites will be at:

-- South Park, 100 Brinkerhoff Ave., 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from July 22 through Aug. 19.

-- Longview Center, 1495 W. Longview Ave., 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, from July 27 through Aug. 19.

-- Hedges School, 176 Hedges St., 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, July 27 through Aug. 19.

Participation will be limited to the first 48 registrants at each site. Social distancing will be observed. Masks will be available. Free CACY individual and group parenting support will be available.
